After a 2-0 loss against Manchester City in the Community Shield finals, Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri feels ‘Chelsea has a lot of work to do.’ This was Saari’s first match as Chelsea’s Manager, which surely didn’t go the way he would have wanted it to. After being outplayed for more then half the contest, Sarri said that ‘his side had a lot of side to make up.’
Sarri blamed the unavailability of Chelsea players and the lack of physical strength as the reasons for their loss. The main concern of Sarri was that he could not see the team firing, the way he wanted them to and is afraid when will the team fire.
“I think it’s a long way, we have to work. It’s not very easy. In the next week we have a friendly match [against Lyon on Tuesday] and I prefer in this moment to be on the pitch with the players only for training.” said Sarri, trying to be optimistic about the approach and not moaning over the loss.
