Kurt Zouma tipped to exit Chelsea this summer after his recent worrisome form

Chelsea could seek to offload the under-fire Kurt Zouma in the forthcoming summer transfer window as the France international struggles to retain his first-team berth since Thomas Tuchel took over at the Bridge.

Reports from the Express claim that Zouma’s recent run of torrid defensive displays might leave the new Chelsea boss with no other option than to sanction the centre-back’s sale.

West Brom showing the final nail in the coffin for the Chelsea defender

Zouma was handed a rare outing in top-flight action by Tuchel as the Chelsea manager opted to bring in the Frenchman alongside the returning Thiago Silva who played his first game since his injury in February.

The Frenchman was expected to deliver a good performance against the relegation favourites West Brom but with the visitors walking away with a 5-2 victory under their belt, the blame would be upon a shambolic defensive showing from the Blues, most notably the Zouma-Silva pairing.

A summer exit on the cards for Zouma as Spurs line up an offer

Tottenham Hotspur have been long linked with an approach for Zouma heading into this summer window with Spurs boss Jose Mourinho keen on adding to his options at the back.

As Thomas Tuchel fails to get the best of his alternate defensive names, the German would most likely accept offers coming his way for the 26-year-old Zouma ahead of the next season.
