Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel was named the Premier League Manager of the Month for March courtesy of the German’s brilliant run at Stamford Bridge since taking charge earlier this year.
The Blues coach pipped the likes of Brighton’s Graham Potter, Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers and Manchester United’s Ole Gunnar Solskajer to win the monthly accolade as his west Londoners maintain their rich vein of form heading into Saturday’s game against West Brom.

According to reports from the club’s official website, Tuchel expressed his heartfelt gratitude towards his backroom staff and the Chelsea players whom he credited for their maximum efforts whilst on the pitch.
‘I am really happy to have received this award and I believe it is a great achievement for everybody at the club who is involved in putting the team together to play each week,’ said the German.
‘The award would not be possible if it wasn’t for the hard work of all my coaching staff and the wider support team who all push the team in the same direction, to achieve success.
‘Lastly, I want to acknowledge the hard work of the players who have given me their maximum efforts and commitment since I arrived and we hope we can keep this strong run going until the very end of the season.’
Tuchel carries a highly remarkable 14-game-long unbeaten run as the Chelsea boss with the club experiencing a superb run of form across all competitions following him taking charge from the under-fire Frank Lampard.
Chelsea recorded quite significant wins over fellow Champions League hopefuls Liverpool and Everton over the course of last month ensuring the Blues’ entry into the top-four of the Premier League standings.
