Chelsea drawn against FC Porto in the Champions League quarter-finals

The Blues have been drawn to face Portuguese giants FC Porto in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League in what is a high-billed contest between two sides who emerged as surprise entrants into the last eight.

While Thomas Tuchel’s men made light work of Atletico Madrid across both legs, FC Porto delivered a shock defeat to Juventus with the Serie A giants failing to get the better of the Liga NOS outfit despite the presence of Cristiano Ronaldo amongst their ranks.

Chelsea have gained massive hold across all competitons in recent times since Thomas Tuchel took charge of what was then a misfirng outfit who looked on the brink of securing a mid-table finish in top-flight action.

Tuchel’s impact at Stamford Bridge has been resounding to say the very least and the Chelsea gaffer would be hoping to get his hands on the much-coveted European silververe this season.

According to reports from Chelsea’s official website, the west Londoners will go upa against their drawn opposition side away from home first on 7 April before playing hosts to Sérgio Conceição’s high-flying men at Stamford Bridge less than a week later on 13 April.
