The Player of the Month in Premier League 2 for December has the nominations of two Chelsea Youngsters, Tino Anjorin and Lewis Bate. They are among the total of seven players nominated for the award as per Chelsea’s Official Website.
The Chelsea duo has played 1,165 minutes having featured in 11 games of the Premier League 2. The midfielders are a crucial part of coach Andy Myer’s team as their incredible performances have enabled them to retain the top spot of the Premier League 2. The Blue juniors faced man United where Anjorin netted two goals while Bate has been the engine of the U-23 side for the whole season.
Anjorin and Bate has also been called up for the match against Morecambe by coach Frank Lampard. Their impressive consistent partnership has earned them a chance to feature for the senior squad and if they perform well, there can even be hopes to play the Premier League fixtures for the Blues.
Apart from these two midfield duos, Folarin Balogun from Arsenal, Brad Lyons from Blackburn, Harry Chapman from Blackburn, Nathan Tella from Southampton and Harvey White from Spurs are the other nominated players.
The Premier League Football Development panel conducted this and gave the power to the managers of the PL2 clubs to select teh best performers from the opposite teams in each fixture of the December’s League.
