Chelsea have decided to go after the Ecuadorian midfielder, Moises Caicedo as per the Daily Mail reports. In doing so, the Blues has entered the race with several other clubs of the Premier League that includes Manchester United to snatch the highly rated midfielder.
Caicedo already has four international caps for Ecuador at just 19 years of age and plays for Independiente del Valle in his country home. It is speculated that the Blues will propose a bid after their discussion with the intermediaries. This occurred as soon as the news of 4.5m transfer deal with Manchester United was up in the air.
Chelsea has already Declan Rice transfer on their hands for the next summer. They have still scouted the young player and thinks that although they have plenty of midfielders at their disposal, his signing will benefit the club in the near future.
He has netted six times and assisted twice while playing 28 games for his club at such an age and no doubt he is highly talented.
The signing will be tough for any club as other clubs like Newcastle United and Brighton and Hove Albion are very much keen to sign him as well. It is to be seen what the player will decide when he has the options to choose the club and that could be very vital for both the parties.
