West Ham’s Declan Rice move to Chelsea is just a matter of time says Patrice Evra

The international break ended and with no time Premier League football started this weekend with a bang. Fans witnessed some spectacular games online and Chelsea’s face-off with Newcastle United was one of them. The game demonstrated and gave a warning to other clubs about how strong Chelsea has become and they are genuine title contenders.

Chelsea triumphed over Newcastle United with a 2-0 victory to keep their winning streak going, but there a lot many fans who are also following the West ham matches who won 1-0 against Sheffield United as well.

This is because Declan Rice was on show and had another fine performance. The England midfielder is a target for Frank Lampard and Chelsea, as noted by Football London.

It seems like Chelsea fans are dreaming about West Ham’s Declan Rice return to Chelsea after much speculation this summer. He was an academy graduate of the Blues and had a special bond with Mason Mount. No wonder why this transfer will make Mount so elated.

Even former Man United player and Portugal full-back Patrice Evra claimed on Sky Sports that it is only a matter of time before Rice to Chelsea transfer deal happens. He thinks that it is inevitable that West Ham will lose their star man.

As per the Football London reports, the former France fullback said in a post-match analysis:

“They know they are going to lose him because many big clubs are interested in Declan, but right now, he’s the man of West Ham. I’m not surprised.

“I knew this player would never allow his head to get bigger because he’s so focused and so humble, and you can see him smiling – he’s happy, what a joy. I’m very pleased with him.”

His move to Chelsea is very likely to happen because of his relationship in this club along with the special bond with his English compatriot, Mason Mount.

Although Chelsea hasn’t given a formal proposal to West Ham due to financial issues after a hefty signing this summer, the next summer transfer may be the time when they go for Rice totally.
