Chelsea rejected offers from Spurs and Everton for Kurt Zouma this summer

Chelsea rejected both the offers from Premier League clubs, Everton, and Tottenham for center-back Kurt Zouma in this summer transfer window as per reports.

The French defender has been impressive this campaign as he cemented his place under Chelsea coach, Frank Lampard before he went to serve his national duties for the France team under their coach, Didier Deschamps.

As per the Daily Mail reports, the season could have been different if the Chelsea board and the player reached an agreement or let Zouma leave Stamford Bridge. The daily newspaper of France reported that both Mourinho(Spurs manager) and Carlo Ancelloti(Everton manager)and Everton were interested to bring the 26 years old French centre-back to their respective clubs.

The arrival of Silva this summer seemed that Zouma would fall down the pecking order but rather the opposite happened. He cemented his place in the starting XI and as per rumours, he is even in talks for a possible contract agreement with the club.

The Blues were quick to straightaway reject the propositions as they weren’t interested to talk if the offers didn’t exceed £40m.

Everton remains the biggest admirer of Zouma as they had his services as a loanee back in the 2018-19 season while Jose Mourinho is the man who introduced Zouma to EPL football when he was the Chelsea coach back in 2014.
