Lampard talks about what he dislikes the most about the part of the managerial duty

Chelsea has started a series of a good run and the unbeaten streak is well going slowly and readily as Lampard has found the balance in the team. But this has also raised some questions on some other issues.

Chelsea coach Lampard has prioritized Timo Werner as their main man for Chelsea in the upfront and has played back to back games for Chelsea- scoring goals. In recent weeks, Lampard has used Tammy Abraham in a wider position and gave the leading responsibility to press the opposition. This has unlocked the best version of Werner but has moved the Frenchman, Olivier Giroud down the pecking order of the team.

Olivier has seen limited game time despite helping the team secure the top four spots and become eligible for Champions League by showing tremendous display and banging goals. Manager Rene Girard has also suggested to Lampard that Giroud should be looked at differently as he is a world-class striker.

His last appearance for the first-team came in the Carabao Cup defeat against Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspurs where the Blues lost in tie-breaker. Apart from that, he has been given to play just four cameo appearances in the second half of some matches. This has reached the ears of the coach and the coach has spoken about it.

‘He’s given a typically great response, which is to train as well as possible and his support around the group is amazing,’ said the coach in Official Chelsea website.

‘That’s just a fact with Oli and maybe not always a fact when people are out of the team, so I can’t speak highly enough of him on that side.’Looking further back, Lampard added:

‘Tammy Abraham for at least half of last season was one of the top scorers in the Premier League but when Oli came in after the restart he performed very well for us. He was a huge factor in us getting into the top four.

‘It’s a part of my job I don’t like when top players and top people that are great around the group don’t always play but I always have difficult selections to make.’

Lamaprd expressed that it is the one an donly thing he hated about the job as a manager. He admits that Giroud is a top striker and being able to give some regular minutes is becoming difficult for him.
