Chelsea’s left-back, Ben Chilwell has given his voice up on social media about issues related to mental health. According to the reports of Sky Sports, Ben revealed that he asked assistance last year as he was struggling with his confidence.
Chilwell’s confidence ‘took a hit’ in the previous year as per him and that he required someone else in order to get through the difficult phase of his life.
The new Chelsea fullback pulled back the curtain on his personal problems by sharing a social media post which according to him will encourage a lot of people who are currently struggling but cannot get their motivation tot alk it ou tot some other person
‘Last year I went through a period where my confidence took a hit and it affected me in my everyday life,’ Chilwell shared on Twitter.

‘I eventually spoke to someone about it and found it helped a lot.
‘In football especially people don’t like to show weakness. But talking about difficulties or problems in your life with others is important.
‘Everyone is going through something and hopefully, someone has seen this tweet and feels they are able to talk to someone about something troubling them, where they felt they couldn’t before.’
Chilwell’s message on the Instagram story was accompanied by a note that read: ‘I think it’s important we all talk on this topic, especially with everything going on at the moment.’
The former Leicester fullback has featured in seven games for the Blues out of which five of them have a clean sheet- three in the last three games. Since he has recovered from a foot injury that he suffered and got a setback, Chilwell has impressed by contributing a goal and completing three assists as well.
