Chelsea midfelder Jorginho opens up about his secret to convert every penalty kicks

Jorginho has expressed about the significance of the number of goals he achieved against Crystal Palace. Prior to the  International break, he made sure that the 4-0 victory is recognized by all.

He was frantic about making amends after the failure against Liverpool from 12 yards, The Italy international reported.

After the one time failure from the 12 yards against Liverpool, both of his strikes from the Penalty spot proved the former Napoli player’s worth yet again. For the Italian Midfielder, this reprieve was like his winning trophy.

Jorginho

Jorginho had never formerly missed, for the Blues from the spot during the normal time. Therefore, his two transformations against the Eagles became customary to him, as was earlier.

‘Me personally, when I missed it, I felt bad because you want to score to help your team but straight after the game I want to take another one because you feel bad, you feel down, and you want to make it right,’ Jorginho said to the official Chelsea site.

‘So you want to prove everyone wrong what they are saying about you and that was me, I want to prove that I can do it, and I think the best way is to believe in yourself, and I do.

‘I didn’t have extra nerves [when taking the first spot-kick against Palace]. ‘It was okay because of this, because I believe in myself and I just wanted to take it.

‘I prefer to clear the head,’ he says of his general penalty-taking method, rather than focus on anything in particular. ‘That’s my way, and it is what I try to do, and it works for me I think. It is normal that sometimes thoughts pop in but I try quick to take them out.’

The Italian International has struck for the Blues by scoring 10 of the 11 penalties. Not to mention, the 23 of the 25 that the 28-year-old has taken for club and country.

It is rumored that a contract extension will happen and that will guarantee to show the peak years of Jorgino’s footballing career.

Although he is not as fancy as a creative midfielder, his absence is truly felt in Chelsea’s midfield. In other words, he controls the tempo of the match and gives a proper shape to the team.
