Christian Pulisic thinks Chelsea is ready to win big titles this season under coach Lampard

Chelsea has got a mixed start to the new 2020-21 campaign after they have overhauled the squad with massive spending nearly about £250 million. Chelsea’s owner, Abramovich’s backing has helped the coach, Frank Lampard to aim big by choosing suitable players for his team.

But Chelsea has suffered an early elimination from the Carabao Cup against Tottenham and in the Premier League, they have lost against Liverpool while also drawing against West Brom. However, rivals like Manchester City and Liverpool have also slipped points massively.

Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic thinks that they have a good chance to win the completion this year. He thinks that the mixture of experienced and young players in the team has really improved the squad this season.

“Last year was more of a transition year where obviously we couldn’t sign any new players, but we still had some of the guys who’d been there.

“This year there’s definitely a boosted confidence, we’ve got an edge. We’re ready, we want to compete, and we want to win titles,” he told Metro.

When asked whether the Blues will gel as a team so fast this season, Pulisic made it clear oh how hungry the players are under Lampard.

“Chelsea is a club with a lot of history that always wants to compete and win titles.

“Our goal is to finish at the highest standing in the Premier League and win every trophy available, Champions League included.

“We’ve got a great group of guys, we’re going to compete, and we’re hungry to win titles,” he added.

Pulisic’s hamstring injury has made him unavailable at the start of the new season but he seemed ready to be fit now. He made a short cameo in Chelsea’s 4-0 victory against Crystal Palace and he thinks he is quite fit and in better shape.

The American winger finished the previous season in a superb form- scoring five goals in just 11 matches that consisted of brilliant goals against Manchester City and Liverpool.
